We're Official: NUconnextions Is Now an IRS-Approved 501(c)(3) Nonprofit

No one should walk out of jail into silence.

That's why I started NUconnextions. And this week, we took a huge step forward: the IRS has officially recognized NUconnextions, Inc. as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.

What does that mean? It means every dollar donated to NUconnextions is now tax-deductible. It means we can apply for foundation grants directly, as our own organization — no fiscal sponsor needed. It means this mission has the full backing of the federal government as a charitable cause.

We received our determination letter on September 22, 2026, with our exempt status effective back to September 3, 2026 — the day we were formed.

When I walked out, I knew what silence felt like. Too many men and women walk out of those gates into nothing — no phone, no numbers to call, no one waiting. A phone is a small thing. But that first call — to someone who welcomes you, who invites you to a meeting, who tells you you're not alone — that changes everything.

This designation changes what we can do. Tax-deductible donations. Foundation grants. Corporate partnerships. Every door that was closed to us as a brand-new organization just opened.

If you've been waiting to give, now's the time. Every $80 puts a phone in the hands of someone coming home: https://www.gofundme.com/f/phones-for-second-chances-nuconnextions-reentry

God is good. Let's keep connecting.
